I draw your dreams

  Last night I had a dream that was partly true.  A film crew was shooting a movie on my street outside my window.  They were making a racket and I kept on waking up.  On the street, there were vehicles behind traffic cones.  In my dream,  I tried to move one of the pylons, but it was booby trapped with fireworks.  I woke up scared. October 4, 2021 Last night I had a dream that I bought two goldfish.  I prepared their bowl and put them in.  The orange fish started to suck the slime off the red fish, and just wouldn't leave him alone, so I put them in separate bowls.  I woke up laughing. Last night I had a dream that I went and stayed at a convent in Quebec.  It was a beautiful building, and the Sisters were very nice, but I found out that they only had vegan food.  I was perplexed.  I found a solution.  I sneaked in some meat inside of my raincoat.  In my dream, I was noshing on a pork chop that was fried in bread crumbs and covered with tomato sauce.  I kept on hiding my face in the jacket to conceal what I was doing, but they noticed that I had tomato sauce all over me.  Busted! Last night I had a dream that I was sad that I didn't have a balcony or a patio or a back yard anymore, so I got a pair of virtual reality goggles and programmed one myself.  It had everything!  A big swimming pool, a great deck with Muskoka chairs, a barbecue, and I programmed the scenery around like a big park with trees in the background.  I had two modes, day and night, and the night scenery involved tiki torches and fireflies, with the sound of crickets in the background.  During the day, there was a big pitcher of sangria for me and my friends.  I really miss having not even a balcony!  But I can dream....  Happy Canada Day 2021 with a caveat... I was always very proud to be a Canadian, we have a good health care system and a goodly amount of freedom that was fought for by many, including my grandfather, and good social supports for most people. Our Indigenous People have had a very rough time of things.  In Canada, they were sent to Residential Schools to separate them from their parents and assimilate them into "Canadian Society".  There, they were abused and shamed, and they were not allowed to speak their original languages.  Now, hundreds and hundreds of children in these schools were found buried with unmarked graves.  It is a source of great distress for me.  The flag over the Parliament building in Ottawa is at half-mast today. I hope you will all say a prayer this Canada Day for them.   Last night I had a dream about Eglinton Avenue in Toronto.  It has been under construction over the past few years, to build the Crosstown LRT (Light Rail Transit) system.  Previously, it had been one of the busiest streets in mid-town Toronto, but what has happened to it has been devastating for the businesses there.  They were already suffering from all of the construction that had been taking place, slowing down traffic to almost a standstill.  Now, with the COVID-19 lockdowns, it has suffered immeasurably. My dream was that I was on a bus, and I saw a snail out the window that was holding a "SLOW" sign and wearing a construction helmet.  How appropriate!  I have to take that Eglinton Avenue bus every time I see my doctor.   I've been making Easter eggs.  I've found that the pencil crayons that I use for my blog are actually the best thing for colouring eggs that I've ever tried, and I've tried just about everything in my youth, including crayons, watercolours and acrylic paint, along with the traditional egg dyes.  The Spiderman head pictured above, was done with the pens that I use to do my blog, along with pencil crayons, but I found that the pen smudges.  Here's another try, Humpty Dumpty featured below: I used a mechanical pencil for the black lines. I just found out that my boyfriend is a new Grandpa!  Congratulations!
