I've been making Easter eggs.  I've found that the pencil crayons that I use for my blog are actually the best thing for colouring eggs that I've ever tried, and I've tried just about everything in my youth, including crayons, watercolours and acrylic paint, along with the traditional egg dyes.  The Spiderman head pictured above, was done with the pens that I use to do my blog, along with pencil crayons, but I found that the pen smudges.  Here's another try, Humpty Dumpty featured below: I used a mechanical pencil for the black lines. I just found out that my boyfriend is a new Grandpa!  Congratulations! April 4, 2021 Happy Easter to everyone who celebrates!  It's a beautiful day here in Toronto.  Here is a "Minion" Easter egg (from the movie "Despicable Me". April 8, 2021 I have been experiencing great difficulty in booking a Covid-19 vaccination appointment, like many Torontonians that I know. It's coming through in my dreams, and I...

Last night I had a dream, that there was a big gathering in my mother’s apartment in Belleville, with a lot of my relatives there.   The era of COVID-19 was over, and we were all celebrating.   I was having a wonderful time with my brother and sister and their spouses, and I hadn’t seen them in over a year.   I brought a bunch of little sausage rolls to heat up, and in my dream, my mother had three ovens, none of which I could figure out.   They had so many dials and other electronic features, it was like trying to drive a new Mercedes.   I finally came across a toaster oven shaped like a skull.   It was easy to figure out, and I put the food into it and heated it up.   It had a rather disgusting option of “spittle” that it used.   It was impossible not to put it on one of the spittle settings, so I set it for the lowest one.  Happy Black History Month! In Canada, on the ten dollar bill, is a portrait of Viola Desmond.  I drew her from this reference, and she's purple because that's the colour of the bill.  In 1946, she challenged racial segregation at a movie house in Nova Scotia, by refusing to leave a whites-only floor of the Roseland Theatre.  She worked as a beautician, and had her own business.  She died in 1965.  One of my heroes! February 2, 2021 Check out T-Nu's YouTube channel, featuring my drawing of cats animated by him!  It's truly awesome!!!!! T-Nu's Frog ramp February 3, 2021 That I went to a seafood buyer's convention.  There was a giant indoor pool there that you could swim in with the fish.  I bought a "grab bag", for $15.00 and of course, you don't know what's in a grab bag until you open it.  I got a Twinkie from the 1970s that had an expiry date of June 2025 (those things really do last forever!), a bag of caraway seeds for some reason...

...that I was dropped off by my Mom in Belleville at the local train station.  I was fifteen minutes late for the train, and she left before I noticed the time on my ticket.  I went and asked the person behind the counter if there was another train to Toronto, but she said that there was a train to a nearby station, and from there I could take the train the next day the rest of the way.  There was a very cute hotel at the town I went to, and I ordered some food at the restaurant portion.  There was a wall of stuffed animal heads, and it didn't matter where I went in the room, their eyes followed me around.  I was told that there were no rooms available, but that I could stay in the room with their daughter and have a sleeping bag on the floor for only $10.00.  I caught the train to Toronto the next day in the morning. January 7, 2021 Obviously, I've been thinking this for a while.  This sketch is dated March 14, 2019.  Please note that Donald Tru...

I made a bunch of Christmas tree decorations made out of household items.  My dreams can go on for hours on end.  Pictured above were dentures, a milk-bone dog biscuit, a cigarette, a disposable razor and a bottle of nail polish.  Not featured here was a hacky-sack, a bottle of mustard, some oven mitts, a broken cell phone, and numerous other non-Christmas-ey things.  I drew and completed all of my Christmas and Hanukkah cards today, to send out to my family and friends.  The Hanukkah cards feature a nine-candle Menorah, and the Christmas cards feature Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer this year.  My place has been decorated, and looks nice.
